Josh Files is set to continue his second championship title hopes as the ADAC TCR Germany heads to the Netherlands and the picturesque circuit of Zandvoort for the 4th round of the championship.

After a thrilling weekend took place in Oschersleben, where Files extended his points lead to 87 following another podium finish in race 2, the Briton is set to lose 30kg of his success ballast, giving Files the hope of better performance at the tight and twisty Dutch circuit.

“Oschersleben was always set to test us. We did a great job with the car, and I drove it as best as I could, but when you have this extra 80kg over your competitors, 14th in qualifying was as good as I could muster” Said Files “The races were quite special though, and I was happy to take the fight to the others and show the competition my determination and grit, and to get through the pack and finish 2nd from 13th in race 2 was hopefully a reminder that we mean business, no matter how heavy we are!” Exclaimed the brit.

As always there will be two 30minute races, 2 free practice sessions and the all-important qualifying to take place at the beech circuit of Zandvoort, where Files has expressed that he is pushing for more wins to add to his already impressive tally.

“That was last weekend though and now the focus is Zandvoort. As always I will be pushing from the first free practice and I want to start getting back some of my Pole positions that I managed last year. For me it’s not about points! I want to win!”

Track action starts on Friday at 8.10am with a 1h30 free test before the official free practice takes please. The races will again be shown live on Sport1+ and live stream on the official ADAC TCR website.
